Guitar lessons

Frans Brekelmans teaches the classic Spanish guitar. All levels, from beginner to professional, are offered. An initial lesson, without obligation, is possible.
Time required for practice at home increases with the skill level. A beginner needs to study for at least twenty minutes per day.

Teaching methods used at the beginner level include the first volumes of Julio Sagreras, Marc Verlinden, Fernando Sor, Mauro Giuliani, and Scott Tenant. Players working at a higher level will use Emilio Pujol’s Escuola de Gitarra or Abel Carlevaro's method.

The lessons include instruction in the works of Bach, Weiss, Sor, Paganini, Granados, Albéniz, Torroba, Tárrega, Llobet, Segovia, Villa-Lobos, Ponce, Brouwer, Piazzolla, Berkeley, Maxwell Davies and Dyens. Of course, the personal tastes and choices of the student when it comes to repertoire are also taken into account.

Lessons last 45, 60 or 90 minutes for adults and 20 or 30 minutes for children under 13.
